This is a definition/ explanation of what felt is that I want to put on my website an may use is pieces for etsy. Can you have a look and tell me what you think please.
Felt is a non-woven cloth that is produced by matting fibres together. Felt can be of any colour, and made into any shape or size. It can be fragile or tough, soft or very hard.
Wet Felting is combining wool fibres with friction and moisture (usually soapy water). It is this combination which reacts to the friction of the felting process, forcing the scales on the hairs to lock together and thus causing the phenomenon of felting. The agitation cases the felt to shrink and strengthen as well. Needle Felting is a done without the use of water. Special barbed felting needles that are used in industrial felting machines are used by the artist as a sculpting tool. Using a single needle or group of needles in a hand-held tool, these needles are used to sculpt the wool fibre. The barbs grab the fibres and push them through the layers of wool, tangling them and binding them together. The more the wool is poked the denser it gets.
Nuno Felting is a technique that bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a new fabric. The name is derived from the Japanese word "nuno" meaning cloth. Using different wools and fabrics this technique can create a wide variety or fabrics.

They look good to me Ann. I noticed a couple of typos. In wet felting, the last sentence, the agitation "cases" instead of "causes". Under nuno felting, last sentence "or" instead of "of".

Hello Ann It all looks good, but in wet felting you write 'forcing the scales on the hairs' and someone who doesn't know about felt may say 'what hairs?' Because in the preceding sentence you wrote 'wool fibres' so would it be better to write 'forcing the scales on the fibres'?

Sounds good. There's an 'a' typo in 'Needle Felting is a done'.
And in 'Nuno Felting is a technique that bonds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze, creating a new fabric.' I think it might sound better to say 'to create' instead of 'creating', so the 'tenses' (?) match

Thanks, I changed those. I knew I could count on all of you to find my mistakes. Its harder to proof your own stuff than someone elses.
