Zed that is very funny. Lyn I can picture you with your stick making a funny face while you tried to stay as far away as possible. LOL

I had a bird pod like that one time. You really couldn't tell what it was after the squirrels and the birds got to it.

I have magpies decimating my hanging baskets for fibre at the moment so I can relate to that "little pile on the ground". LOL I did find a dead possum in my vegie garden last season - he must have gorged himself to death he was huge. I thought at first it was a cat sleeping under the silverbeet leaves but when he didn't move next day I got suspicious and poked him with a stick and he was dead as. poor fella hope it was old age that took him.

Sue - yuck. I thought we had a dead baby 'possum (the North American opossum, kind). My hubby told me to just leave it alone and come back in a few hours. I did and it was gone. Obviously, the 'possum was playing possum. :-)

Good thing I live in the city, being a bit squeamish about those animals running around. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately--more eco-printing, botanical dyeing, whatever you want to call it--I’m hooked! Up-cycled Cotton Undershirt by catwycliff, on Flickr

Nice prints Cathy! Having cut off the scarf, there was enough warp left to weave this little bag using more of the solid colours I used on the end of the scarf. Just need to weave a handle. CIMG7461 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr

Cathy - lovely results and colours with the dyeing
Judith - very pretty indeed - you would have no trouble selling your scarves and matching bags I reckon

Nice eco-printing Cathy - what leaves did you use? Judith I so admire your weaving and Chrisssie presents are a great idea. Last year mine were all felted wearables, this year not yet sure - maybe after the Textile Forum I will have some new ideas.

Sue, thanks! The leaves are mostly geranium, rose and false indigo. So much fun to see what nature has in store for us.
Judith, lovely weavings. You caught on fast! Super gift ideas, one of a kind.

Judith ,thanks for that , don't have any false Indigo but have used rose but not geranium.I often use Geum as they give a lovely print as does Eucalyptus of course and so much of it here in Oz.
