Back from Woollfest - no photos I'm afraid as I can't be doing with carrying a camera around and as I've said before my phone is a gas version. Wonderful array of all things wooly related. I fondled fibre of all types, but restrained myself to only 3 purchases (aren't I good?) Some very short DPNS, a flicker brush and wait for it...... a loom. Yay!

What's DPNS?

Zed. DPNs are double pointed needles - for knitting in the round. Circulars are no good for a small number of loops.

Wow, I'd say you were incredibly restrained Judith, last year I had bought 3 fleeces in the first 30 mins and needed to make 2 more trips to the car after that to offload all my goodies in a way I'm glad it is so far away so I can't go every year Have you got the loom set up yet?

I like the phrase 'I fondled fibre of all types' - fondle is what a true fibre lover does.

It wasn't too difficult to pass on the fibre. I think perhaps I have more than enough for now.
Tomorrow I shall try to follow the Kromsky loom assembly video. How many pieces??? !!! Don't hold you breath.

Congrats on the loom Judith! Fondling fiber is the best pastime. You were a good girl.

Lovely Judith, will picture you on the floor surrounded by 'bits' of loom . Sounds like a good haul to me.

No longer in bits. Phew! Two hours to put it together - a poor score for an aptitude test, but at least I didn't have to backtrack. Kromski provide photographic instructions which are dark and unclear, but fortunately they have an online video which, together with the booklet makes things much easier.

Only the one with the Spin City stand. Loom up and running - practising with some of my early wheelspun yarn. Having fun. CIMG7419 by Judith Robinson, on Flickr
