Just realised that we're into a new month and Cathy is slipping - as she always seems to start us off. My daily dose has been sewing. I have a sleeveless linen shirt which I love, but my upper arms are no longer worthy of exposure! So I cut sleeves from a lace table runner which has been languishing in the linen cupboard for ages and:- flic.kr/p/GHvc8iAlso showing the summer skirt I made from a remnant cost £3 including the zip.

Clever and pretty idea Judith! The blouse goes really well with your new skirt to make a very summery outfit. I also have bodily areas that are no longer fit for public viewing and as summer approaches I envy the Victorians. photo taken from newspaper article 'Daily Mail'

Judith, so right, I’ve been sleeping at the wheel! I may have noticed it was May already if the weather here was a bit warmer. ;-))
My daily dose yesterday was--surprise--gathering vintage linens from my closet for repurposing via natural dyeing!
Love how you repurposed your linen shirt!!

Thanks Cathy. Look forward to seeing your dyed linens. I'm about to soak some leaves from last autumn, to use with some Spring foliage and am building up the courage to print some garments. The layout will be a bit more tricky than on a flat piece. I'll start with a couple of tired T shirts, so nothing to lose.

Ha, ha, I am also thinking of how to design a felted summer dress not to expose my arms too much

My daily dose for this week with be to got the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival. I'm taking a natural dye class, and indigo dye class (both with Jackie Ottino Graf), and a drop spindle class with Maggie Casey.
I'll try to take notes & photos and do a write-up for the blog.

Elizabeth, The Fold where I shop will be there. The owners name is Toni Neil. If you stop by tell her you're a friend of mine from the Forum. I believe she usually doesn't bring roving, but has tons of yarn. Have fun and yes, please share the experience with us!

Judith I saw your blouse on facebook but didn't realise the background was a skirt. Elisabeth I am jealous of your trip the MSW festival. I have heard great things about it. Lyn I have a medieval outfit that has me pretty covered. LOL
