Oh, I see I can't remember if I have any of that. I have some very stiff white from garlic.

I would think you would need to trap them. there is no fiberyness about them at all pure smooth plastic. should be interesting.

Hello Ann - they felted in beautifully without trapping - I was amazed. I put down two layers of white merino and put the net straight on the top. I covered the lot with tutu net, wet it down and rubbed for a bit then rolled.

It's surprising how much stuff will felt without any trapping, the wool fibres seem enough to wrap around and grip.

I'm so glad to read this. It's a relief to know I'm not the only one saving these mesh bags. I haven't figured out how I might use them in a felting project yet, but I've got quite a collection. At some point I might have to give up on incorporating them into a felting project and twine a small outdoor rug.
