I don't know, it looks a bit wonky, if you send it to me I could have a look for you

Ha ha. No way is "Annie" going anywhere. Peter has suddenly taken an interest in drum carders. I don't think anything exciting will come of it - but we can live in hope!

I'm having great fun thanks, and it's soooo relaxing, rather like meditation.

Very nice, Judith! Are spinning lessons included along with the kilo of wool?

I am in heaven for you, that is one swanky wheel, I know what I'll be asking for my next birthday, yes you must get a carder too I think it's essential

My very first skein on the wheel. I'm fairly pleased with it - a few bubbly bits, but all part of the learning curve. flic.kr/p/GD7ianSecond single in progress flic.kr/p/GuTDDQCathy - No, spinning lessons aren't included. As with so many things, I'm taking my lessons from Youtube.

Very impressive Judith, personally I like any bubbly bits, adds a nice texture. I have had a drool over your new sparkly spinning wheel and Friday I have my golden ticket to go to the www.theknittingandstitchingshow.com/edinburgh/ if there are spinning wheels it's going to be difficult for me to come home without one.

Thanks Carole. Have fun at KASS Edinburgh. Restraint is difficult at these shows.

What else have you spun Judith since you last posted?
I am pleased to report that I went and I came home without the said spinning wheel, but I am going to join the Edinburgh dying, spinning and weaving guild and they loan out spinning wheels - now that is a bonus, and I also came across some lovely women who meet every Friday morning to spin in Edinburgh, I may become a Friday spinner too.
The folk at these events are so friendly and funny, giggles, naughty inuendo's, come and join us attitudes - I've had a lovely time.

Good to hear you enjoyed KASS and met such nice people Carole. The Friday group sounds like fun. I've just been practising with more of the Masham and trying out a few other fibres from the stash. My husband has booked me on a 2 day course at the end of May, with Ruth Gough at Wingham. They also have a couple of holiday cottages, so we're booked into one of those too. I'm feeling very pampered.
