It's beautiful! The fluffy 'frame' and ears are perfect (nice view too!)

The bonnet is lovely. The knitted edge reminds me of maribou.

Oh what a cute little bonnet, I hope your GD doesn't just pull it straight off like so many children do with hats. How old is she? And can we have a picture of her wearing it please?

Started organizing my felted scraps today so I can begin the 2nd qtr challenge, but then I realized my fiber stash needed re-organizing, and by the time I finished sorting colors and types of roving, I was too tired to do anything else. My bad!!

Marian, my Grandaughter Sarah is a photographer, and will use it for her baby photos at shoots. My Great Granddaughter Amelia is 18 months old and it won't fit her. I am upsizing the pattern to make her one and will get a pic from Sarah when she is wearing it. They live in Perth 3000 klms away so it is all internet contact except a once a year visit from me. Sarah has also asked me for a pixie and a fox bonnet now - she loved it! LOL
Cathy I can relate to that so much, did almost the same thing yesterday but also began to layout my vest then realised my back couldn't do any more after one layer.LOL But my roving and silk bins are tidy!

I just wrote a post over on The Felting and Fiber Studio blog about my first challenge entry for this quarter. I did another one that is quite different than the first today. I wrote about it on my personal blog (link in signature) if you want to know more about it. This was inspired by my recent trip to Hawaii. There are clickable larger photos on my blog.

I really like your first one and this one is just as lovely. The colours are wonderful and having the felt overlap the mount is very effective.
I've seen your pile of scraps - I reckon you could have a whole exibition of landscapes!

I like the textured sunset and the way the plants are growing out of the picture.

Fab Ruth, I love orange & fuschia together, & I adore the texture that comes from this method with your scraps. I'm sure small, simple versions would make excellent greeting cards.

Thanks everyone! And yes, I have many more scraps to work with so I'm sure I'll make a few more. Jill - These are only 5"x 7" so they are about card sized now. I would definitely have to cut down on the 3D effect or the card wouldn't fit in an envelope
