Have just returned from Wandering in the Desert with India Flint…yes, that India Fliint, Queen of the Eco-print. While i am currently decompressing from ridiculous high altitudes, a few photos to share: IMG_1678 by catwycliff, on Flickr

The picture is beautiful. I hope to visit the southwest someday. What did you use to dye the egg? The print and the colour are very pretty.

Thanks! The dyeing was so easy…would you believe only onion skins and fresh cilantro?

Great photos I've been sorting out fabrics for the well being centre and going through a World of Wool order. They do a few raw wools now and some new breeds in the natural tops.

Thanks! The dyeing was so easy…would you believe only onion skins and fresh cilantro? Your egg is beautiful. It's a keeper! My grandma used to do these years ago. I love onion skins for dyeing anything, be it eggs, wool, fabric or paper.

Thanks, all! Onion skins seem to be a favorite of dyers around the world. I need to begin stalking the produce aisles for loose onion skins. ;-)

We have a dedicated onion skin tub in the kitchen so there's always a ready supply. Just a few can give a real boost to other yellow dyes if they're looking a bit wishy-washy.

My daily dose was shearing today. I don't do the shearing. We had 2 shearers come for that.

Sheared before lambing. This is the first time we have done this but lots of people do. Now they are all ready for lambing to start in a couple of weeks. When do you shear over there?

My daily dose of fiber yesterday was doing a flat felt demo for a group of lovely ladies who run a scholarship fund for young women. I brought samples for them to view and touch as well. There were about 25 women total, and none of them had heard of felting before.
