Thank you to all who gave me suggestions for finishing this project. It is wearable but not what I had anticipated. Learned a lot which was a bonus. Will definitely make a muslin first before I felt another garment. shadyrr.wordpress.com/2016/02/29/circle-vest/ for instructions and comments on changes I would make if I make another one,

I think it's cute Frances. But I understand when you have a vision of something and it doesn't turn out that way. :-)

So pleased you got it to work, Frances. I love how the back waist is pulled in, very nice shaping.

I love that circle vest (I made one with crochet ), I believe the colours will turn out better with a dark blue blouse ? (Forgive me my school English ).

Frances, I like your vest - lovely colours and texture. You have learned a lot from this experience. You can be proud, you can wear it!

You fixed it up really well Frances, it fits you. What would you change about it?

Thank you all for the nice comments - if you look at the tutorial I posted on Wordpress I noted a couple of things I would do differently - one being make the collar out of only one layer of roving - the collar is made by placing roving about a third of the way down on one side of the resist.

Frances. I don't quite understand the collar. It seems like you're creating a large pocket when you lay fibers on the other side of the resist.
Other knit circle vests that I've seen are just a full circle, with the upper side falling over naturally to create a collar.
I'm sure I'm missing something. The rest of your instructions were very clear.

When I have finished mine I will post it here too so we can learn from each other.
