I thought I would share my results of my snow dyeing the other day. I dyed some silk for future Nuno felting. I do like the results. This was my first time trying this method. The close up picture on the right is closer to the true colors.

Beautiful results Liz! The silk will make a lovely Nuno scarf. I look forward to seeing how that turns out, too!

Doing some more snow dyeing today. Alpaca fiber under two of the piles and silk hankies under one. This should be the last of snow dyeing as our weather is going to warm and melt all of our snow! Yea, spring is on the way.

Gorgeous patterns in the hankies Liz, they remind me of those colourful astronomical photos of far away galaxies

Here are the final results of my last snow dyeing of alpaca and silk hankies. I blended them into rolags for spinning.

This is the final hand spun yarn from my earlier posts of snow dyeing. I took this picture outdoors for a true color of the finished yarn.
