Lovely yarn, Judith! That’s the kind of tweedy stuff that weavers love!

It's going into a hat my son is knitting. He's the one with the broken ankle and he thought knitting might ease the boredom. It's a slow process, but he's making headway (pun intended). I taught them all to knit and sew (boys and girls) when they were very young, so this is a re-learning process.

Smart mom, Judith! Your kids must be giving thanks for those skills!

Judith, I like the idea of treating children equally (boys and girls). Any skill they acquire will become most useful one day and they will appreciate it. Good mom.

The yarn is lovely. You should take some pictures of him knitting and the finished hat of course.

The yarn is lovely. You should take some pictures of him knitting and the finished hat of course. He may let me post his knitting and perhaps share the pattern he charted up, though he'll probably bow out of being in the photo himself.
