Interesting. If my whole thing is all one colour I lay out all the wool for one side then put it aside. Then lay out all the wool for the other side. Then wet it put the resist on top and fold round the add the first one wet it and wrap the wool around. So many ways to felt.

Still working on the Chain hat, the smaller links have been stuffed with plastic and painted with fabric stiffener. I started a new hat yesterday too, that I hope will look like flames leaping into the air, this is it fulled and waiting for for the "flames" to be cut into the wings. It has used lots of resists to get to this stage so I figure it fits quite well into the challenge...

The chain hat is indeed interesting, better than calling it the poop hat. :-) I love the flame hat. It definitely fits into the challenge. I can't wait to see it finished.

I have been busy cutting and twisting the flames this evening - at this rate the flame hat will be finished before the chain one... I'm debating on adding some textile foil to the flame one though, that might slow me down a little

The hats are quite marvelous, Teri! Very challenging work. As long as you are going out on a limb, why not add foil? Look forward to seeing the results.

Absolutely - textile bling indeed In fact, I think it is your fault Elizabeth, that I have a cupboard full of foil - I think it was you that added some to a piece a couple of months ago - I was so inspired I rushed out and bought a ton of it!

Hmm. I don't remember foil . I remember using sequined silk. Anyway, you're welcome

Cathy, if your cats refuse to enter their cave (which is a shame) you need to attract them by placing some nice treats into it.

hurray Cathy! That's definitely a cat cave. Nice neutral tones too. Hope the cats get used to the idea soon. That's cats for you, so determined to make up their own minds, such ingratitude!

Cathy It turned out great. I love that it looks like a boulder. The migration of the loganberry gives it depth and character. Well done! Take Jill's suggestion and put in some treats. Eventually, they will get curious. If I remember correctly, one of them likes to hide. Good hiding place. :-)
