Hi France's, I've made a few pieces using this technique, she uses the same technique used across most of he work but the chrysanthemum is made with thicker prefelts. To make this I would make a sheet of fairly thick prefelt and cut out petal shapes, then needle felt extra wool onto the tips and create the curved shape. Then lay out the petals in concentric cicles, needling them at their bases to a second sheet of prefelt / felt. Finally some wet felting will help the needle holes to disappear and make it all secure and firm.

It was a nice gallery. I used a similar method making a poinsettia recently, but with very light prefelt.

She has some very nice work. Reminds me of work by a Dutch felter, whose name I cannot recall.

Thanks for the tip on cutting out and then needle felting.
