Here is a tutorial for a set of lovebirds. A bride and groom set that can be used as a wedding cake topper! You can also use these birds in a little vignette display, perhaps at the sign in/check in area, or at the gift table. You can also set them up in your house as I have done, since I got married some time ago.

This is probably my longest and most work intensive video by far, but it is for something very special - a wedding cake topper! I am a huge fan of Ann Wood birds. I really wanted to get one of her cake toppers for my wedding, but they were out of my price range and difficult to obtain due to scarcity. I ended up making my own wedding cake toppers out of wooden dolls, which were very different from the Ann Wood birds. However, after I started needle felting, I thought I might be able to make a needle felted version of these gorgeous birds, which are typically made of cloth and sewn together by hand.
This was my first time making the bird legs as well, and I adapted this tutorial created by Ann Wood. If you are unclear on how to make the bird legs (I realize that some parts of my tutorial are a little blurry or unclear) - try checking out this video created by the original artist herself.
