I did it....131 pre-schoolers in 1 day. It was crazy but great fun. I needed my bed by the time I got home xx
I adapted an idea of felting in the ziplock bag and had 5 chiddlers work on a combined project. Lovely that 2 of the children with special needs really enjoyed it, I think their classroom support were really pleased with how much pleasure they got from it....felting sure makes people happy. Will post some images of their finished projects when I get them from the school. ;D

Okay, Shelley, that is just wonderful, but this "child" finds felting in a ziplock bag to be beyond my imagination, can you kind of give me an overview? I'm intrigued!

They must have been big bags to fit 5 kids in

Hi Pam, nice your here! Zed - lol, xx Right - A4 ziplock bag (not too thick grade of plastic, sometimes those self sealing bags are good), fibre, soap water and 5 small chiddlers needed. Get chiddlers to lay out design on top of the bag, using the size of the bag as a template. Roll the fibre when made and place inside bag...unrolling carefully. Add glitter - yeah! Add soapy water and seal. Get kids to press, rub and bash the bag....5 minutes later felt (well pre-felt really but a good sueeze under a hand tap while rinsing will finish it off.

You should take photos, I've never heard of felting like that

What a great idea! The picture in my mind: grab a baggie, take a couple of handfuls of fiber, throw in bag and add soap and water, and then - my mind went blank. Great idea! And thanks for sharing.

You are so brave! I can't imagine lasting through a day of that. Looking forward to seeing the photos.

What a great idea Shelley. Lots of fun, but whilst I like children, I don't think I could cope with 131 in a day. You're very brave

Hi Koffipot - The bag idea came from Pat Sparkes website, she does a version of it. I just adapted it for more children. It was hectic but they loved it. Any excuse to get wet!
This photo is from the sea themed workshop I did last week in a different school with lots of different chiddlers...

I take my hat off to you Shelley - I wouldn't have gone anywhere near 131 chiddlers all wanting to felt.
