Nice clutch Cathy. The shawl looks great. That would be me. If I do not take my iron pills I freeze no mater the temperature. My daily dose Yesterday was finishing a hat . I had to fight with it to get it the way I wanted. today was starting to pack things up for The twist festival next weekend.

At the beginning of the month, I took a workshop with Janneke from Wolkol (NL) to make this scarf directly from fleece : It is soft and I love it so much...

Very pretty Aphee, did you separate the locks from the whole fleece or just felt the fleece "in the grease" as a single piece? It looks very fine so I'm guessing you separated the locks...

Aphee, the scarf is absolutely gorgeous! Love the neutral shades balancing each other. Was it difficult felting?

Thanks ladies ! indeed the locks are separated (you can see the background in brown alpaca throught them) The locks are leicester longwool. It wasn't very difficult but it took a looooooog time to put the locks

Beautiful, Aphee. It will be nice and warm in the cooler months. I'm sweating, just looking at it as I sit here in Dallas with 100-degree temps (38 C)

Fabulous. It reminds me of an 1950's stole, very fashionable.

It's gorgeous, Aphee My daily dose yesterday was starting on a picture for my sister. I thought I'd copy a photo of hers to say thanks for helping me at MakeFest. It's basically a field scene, with irregular bands of grass/greenery and fields of flowering rape. I don't have a computer downstairs so had to make detailed plans with measurements etc. It didn't look very impressive once I'd done the blocks of colour, and the rape part looked better all texturey, so I thought I may aswell take artistic license and add textures etc. So it's probably only half done so far. I'm trying to decide how far to go with texture, whether to add a bit of dyed nylon to the grassy area or scrim etc. If I was good with stitching I'd add details with that after.
