I thought I'd make a little square out of the pencil roving waste I bought, but it was so nice to knit with and looked so good, I just kept adding to it. I think it'll just be a quirky wall hanging, but I'm so tempted to make a scarf because it is so soft. As you can probably tell, I haven't learnt how to add in new yarn yet, so it's just knotted Pencil roving par Zedster01, on ipernity

I kind of like the knots - gives it a three dimensional effect and more texture

I agree with Frances especially if it will be a wall hanging.

Looks great Zed! Who needs to learn the rules when the knots add such a great look to it?

Ha, I'm not sure it'd catch on, Frances Thanks for the nice comments. It feels softer than the 28 micron listed.

I have a pattern for knitting with roving, then felting to make felted clogs. I have not tried it though. Someday. I like this. Liz

The knots are quirky and give it a 3d effect, do keep them

I'd probably keep the knots even if I did make a scarf
