I've been thinking about making a hooded jacket for some time but couldn't figure out how to make it in one piece over a resist. While feeding my Pinterest addiction I came across this link that I think answers my question. I'm sharing here in case anyone else was having the same problem.... crowsnest.ru/little-secrets.html

Excellent! I bought one of her vest patterns but haven't used it. I look forward to seeing your hooded jacket!

Teri, that’s quite an ambitious project, but you are not easily scared off! Do you have the pattern or will you improvise?

I like that she overlaps the fronts.so many vest patterns just have you cut up the middle and then there is a gap in front when finished

I confess I do like a challenge Cathy I'm afraid it will be a few weeks before I can get around to this project, there's woolfest to look forward to this weekend and I have a couple of other projects on the go that I really should finish first. Maybe I can get it finished in time for autumn

Sorry forgot to say, I don't have her patterns but I will adapt my dress /top template to include the hood (don't be afraid to try making your own template, they're not as hard to make as you might think).

That should be a great autumn project, Teri. It does take some confidence to make templates, although I have only tried with small sculptures. I do have a tunic template made during the October Felt United workshop with Fiona Duthie. Maybe i will dig that out and try a hooded tunic this autumn. But, Teri--you first!!!

I imagine commecial patterns could be adjusted for shrinkage.

A great tutorial Teri. Thanks for the link. Look forward to seeing your hoodie. As Marilyn says you could use a commercial pattern, or draft a pattern and enlarge according to shrinkage samples.
