Gorgeous bag Nada! Did you use fabric on the front for the design or did you do that yourself with fiber? I can't tell from the pic.

The little bag is great. A very lucky little girl that gets it. I haven't had much time this week I had my daughter and grand son out for a week long visit so not time to do much. today I got halfway through a tea cozy and started a flower for an example for a class only to find my big roll of painters plastic has disappeared during my studio move. I had to run off to the hardware store. hope I can finish tomorrow.

Nada - A very pretty bag. Zed - I thought your green textured piece looked familiar.

Nice bag, Nada Yeah, it's definitely one of my favourites out of a lot of stuff! I even found a facebook topic dedicated to it once!

I like the bag - is the green bubbly part silk?

Thank you ladies for your comments. Marilyn, Frances, the green part was green viscose fabric with polka dots.

My weekend's dose of fibre: I feel really privileged to be able to help a very good friend who is having chemo & is sadly losing her hair. She is not comfortable with tying scarves, so I painted some extra soft cotton/silk mix fabric & made her some 'scarts' - my own name! it's a mix of hat & scarf! I made a few more with soft sari silk too, so she has a selection in various colours, but these ocean blue/greens are her favourite colours. www.flickr.com/photos/62077747@N05/16755199004www.flickr.com/photos/62077747@N05/17170266327the first is really just a triangular scarf with an inset of cotton & batting so it doesn't slip, the 2nd is a soft hat shape, both tie at the back, some I made with longer ties to come back round to the front/side etc. She's pleased & comfortable in them, which is the most important thing.

Beautiful 'scarts'. They should be more comfortable for your friend.

Thanks for the idea - I too have a friend who has lost her hair due to chemo. Your friend will look beautiful in the pretty scarts.

Jill - sorry to hear about your friend but I'm sure your scarves/hats will be treasured and well used.
Judith - I love the scarf - really nice.
