Lovely flower Pam. Zed - I do lots of sewing from clothes to large soft furnishing projects. I wouldn't thank anyone for a fancy computerised machine. Mine is a fairly old heavy duty Bernina with minmal choice of stitches, though I do have a 'turtle and hare' option and of course a 'dog drop' for free motion stuff. The only extra is a walking foot for quilting. Practice makes perfect, and I'm sure you'll get the feel of your machine, however a 10 day cooling off option is a good one. Happy stitching

Pam - they are wonderful! I really like the seed beads on the raised centre. You ought to put these on Etsy or somewhere.

Thanks, Lyn. I haven't really thought about what to do with them yet. Perhaps I'll put a backing on them and add a pin attachment or maybe make a purse to go behind them! They are really fun to make, so right now I am just making them for "fun".

they are both really nice. I bet they would look good on a hat. I really like the stitching pattern on the yellow and the contrast too.

Thanks, all. I'm really enjoying this new-to-me felting arena. There are just so many paths to follow and I keep meandering off the original path and picking up a new one. Will I ever settle on just one path? I doubt it. Trying to finish a hand-stitched butterfly this weekend. I put it aside to work with the new sewing machine and I hate leaving things un-done. Once she is completed, then I can concentrate on the machine-work again. Ideas are just spilling out of my brain. I hope I can catch a few before they disappear entirely!
As far as selling goes, every hobby/craft/art I have taken up over the years I have ended up with selling in mind. I would have to make things I didn't want to make just to sell them, special orders, wholesale work. I don't want to do that again. I may at some point open an etsy store, if the collection gets overwhelming, as that seems less demanding that some other selling venues, but right now I am just happy to be creating/learning/experiencing. And I thank you all for that.

Better write all those ideas down. I keep a journal for those ideas and then I can go back later when I need inspiration.
