April 2nd seemed lie a good date to kick off the month, since I didn’t want you to think I was fooling. Speaking of fooling, I fooled around with the wool kindle case I created recently, adding hand embroidery to it. I think the case has been improved and will send you a photo tomorrow.
What are you felting now? Or planning to felt in April?

I'll concentrate on garments - perhaps another jacket if my momentary inspiration doesn't take me on some other way.

I've been busy working on an e-book about embellishment fibres, it's only taken me about 5 years so far As much as I love embellishment fibres it can be so tiring editing photos, and my eyes are so dodgy that any slight pattern sets them off flickering, so staring at thousands of photos of rippled white fibres on black Merino is challenging! It is fun at times though, getting right down and seeing how differently all the fibres felt, and how the merino and migration affects them. This is Soy top, looking along the surface at a neat row of the tops.

I am working on getting my stuff organised and moved into my new space and I have several fleeces to card for someone. I hope I can get my nuno kit converted to an on line class with video.

Thanks Ann and Ruth! Hand work is comforting and always seems to bring something extra to my felt.

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a while, life has been quite hectic, I've been working on art dolls and running felting workshops, the case is gorgeous, and I agree about hand sewing, it takes you to another place.

Cathy, I love your kindle case - both colours and stitching. Zed, your picture of soya fibres and merino is stunning. Looking forward to your new e-book.

Thanks, ladies, for your nice comments about my Kindle case. It’s on my nightstand, thus very present in my life on a daily basis.
Carole, great to have you back! Would love to see photos of your dolls.
Zed, anticipating your e-book on embellishment fibers!

Carole, it's good to have you back! Its ts amazing how the eye blends things and the computer deconstructs them.
