I can't believe how beautiful these are. Don't know which one I like the best. They are all so wonderful.

I think I like the green one best too. I think its the little antennae that do it. They are all really nice.

Wonderful! How big are they? I think I can tell from the back. Did they turn out as you wanted? I really like them.

Thanks everyone. They have been fun to make!
Ruth, the largest ones are 4 inches across (wingspan) and 3 1/2 inches high. The green one is smaller, with a wingspan of 3 inches. Did they turn out as I wanted? I can't tell you that as my "wants" change as I keep doing them. The pink one was the first beaded one and I wasn't terribly happy with it because none of the felt showed once I finished with the stitches and the beads. The green one was next, but she looks a little plain without additional embellishment. So, on to the "yellow" one, which I hope will be a compromise that still allows the felt to be a star, but gives sufficient embellishment.
I actually like the shape of the pink one better than the green, although it is the same outline, just made smaller. It seems I lost some of the shape and it looks a little stunted to me - lol.
Ann, I will be adding antenna to all of them, I think. I got this sample pack of colored wire yesterday and actually just stuck it through the felt of the green one to see if it would work. I need to work on a way to stabilize it within the felt, but that shouldn't be hard - a loop in the middle of the wire and a few stitches, I think.

Thanks, Zed. I am definitely going to send at least one butterfly, if they will have it. They want a picture first.

I was wrong about the date, they want them by Dec. 31, 2012 I don't think you need to send a photo first Pam, I think it just helps them if 1.5 million people photograph their butterflies, rather than them having to photograph 1.5 million That's what I thought, anyway!

I keep thinking I will make a butterfly for this. Perhaps this reminder will inspire me.

They're all gorgeous Pam. The antennae do make the green one stand out, but I'm waiting for the yellow - it's looking good already.
