Beautiful pillow Nada. Did you put the ties on after or felt them with the rest?

Great scarves and a beautiful pillow. Nada, are those felted cords that you've used as lacing?

very interesting texture. I am also interested in the "laced" middle.

In front I used a resist over silk fabric. After felting the piece I made several cuts across to get small "ropes" and continued with fulling. When the piece was dried I joined three cords together using a crochet neeedle and fixed them with some stitches.

Nada - that really is a fantastic cushion. Delicate colours and oh so soft.

It was 7 degrees here this am - I want to gather all my wool and wrap up in it. As a testament as to how long wool lasts I pulled out a wool US Navy blanket this week when we were without electric power. This blanket was issued in 1948 to my hubby and still is in good shape after 67 years! He is 18 years older than I am and said "this blanket has served me well" when I placed it on him.

Cool, Frances! And Judith is right--it is about looking after the blanket well. I have a couple of antique (yes, 100 years old!) Hudson Bay blankets which are in excellent condition.

I am embarrsed to say that it was not in the cedar chest. It will be put away there. I had forgotten about it it was behind another blanket in the closet.
