Since the subject of felted clothing has come up....I'd like to share a jacket I created using National Nonwovens Exotic Felt ( which is a bamboo/rayon blend.) It was a dream to work with BUT upon the first wearing, I reported back to the manufacturer that it pilled like crazy, the colors rubbed off on the white t-shirt I wore beneath it, and it wrinkled from the car seat belt and just plain old sitting so badly that it looked like I climbed out of a dumpster! I'm in a hotel tonight using my iPad and for the life of me can't figure out how to attach a pictures using this device...GEESH. I blogged about the jacket in the URL is below. Also, my blog post tomorrow (which was already written at home and is scheduled to post in the early A.M.) shows two more projects using bamboo/rayon felt. The company reworked the bugs of that product after my input. I really love it now. My blog: www.marystori.blogspot.com

Mary,
Have you tried to select and copy the photo on the iPad and then paste it into the thread?

Mary, Have you tried to select and copy the photo on the iPad and then paste it into the thread? Angie Yes, thank you Angie for the suggestion......I select and copy a photo from the photo album but it can't get it to 'paste' into the reply section ...nor the quick reply either. just a A.M. thought ....... I was using a hotel Internet connection .....sometimes that can cause issues. I'll try again.

The Jacket is beautiful - Oh if I ever get to your level of felting - I am going to a wedding in June and the colors and styling of the front are just what I would like to wear.
As far a posting photos I believe the only way they can be posted is through the "attachment button" and not copy and paste. You can put in the http://www...link to your blog or web page and post a picture that way - well the link will show but not the picture but we just click on the link to view the picture.
To post a picture in reply you must use Reply - not Quick Reply and use the attachment button.

I can only add to the lovely jacket comments & say I am inspired by it ! Scrolling back a bit to a comment by ZED, you say that "If you have an odd number of wool layers, you'll never get 'even' shrinkage whichever method you use." Just to clarify, do you mean that if you lay one, three, five or seven layers of wool, for example, that the item will not felt evenly ?
