Ruth your link won't work for me it just says its not available or I don't have permission to see it.
Nada your cushion looks really nice. It doesn't look apricot to me just a very slight pinkish.
I feel slothful with all everyone is doing. I do have some silk hankies soaking so I can dye them.

Your hat and scarflet turned out great. I look terrible in a beret. I wish I didn't, I like them.
I want to see your hat "boob". I wish I spoke Russian. even with the bad translation she is funny. I still didn't see how she made it so smooth over the top. it looks like she cuts it but then it doesn't look cut in the end. I have considered using a couple of old straw hats and some expandable foam to make some hat blocks. just not sure how well they would stand up to any kind of pressure.

Ann, I don't understand Russian either, just followed the pictures trying to figure out what she meant. All in all, I cut off the top of the bottle. I stuffed it with scrunched newspaper to give it some weight. Then on the top part which is tapering, i made cuts down on six or seven places and got strips which were then easier to fold so that I got a nice round shape in the crown. Here my husband came in to help me: I pressed down the crown part and fixed it with strong adhesive tape. Your idea of using a straw hat is very good too. I shouldn't be difficult to fill it with some foam and then on the top wrap it in plastic foil.

Great hat and scarf Nada. I have a couple of plastic hat blocks. I don't seem to use them much though. Of course I don't seem to make too many hats either

embellished with simple blanket stitch and felted balls…opening had to be cut wider again, losing the effect of healed edges…may use another round of blanket stitching…just need to get the latex for the soles.

Cathy - that is gorgeous - it reminds me of Nikko. Our eldest son lived in Japan for about 4 years so I've visited 3 times, each in a different season - it's a beautiful and inspiring country. I don't know where the nanti mountains are though.

Very pretty slippers - I think a second run around with the blanket stitch is a good idea.
