I like the tree, the mottled colour and the asymmetry. Maybe so many seed beads was a bit ambitious. Maybe use bigger beads and place them randomly all over. Your dollar store might have tiny strings a of balls meant for decorating miniature houses then you could string across the tree attaching them with the occasional stitch.
Cathy . peices of felt are always useful. Are you going to tell us what you are going to make?

My latest dose of fibre - a handbag, commissioned by a friend of mine. Nothing special, quite easy to make, except the handle where I was playing with felt ropes.

Hello Nada, your Christmas Pods are very very creative and beautiful.... I see the crack mud and resist techniques... Very neat.. The hand bag is gorgeous... Wow, your fingers have been very busy... Smile.

Looks like you've been busy Nada. The bag looks very professionally done. Did you felt the ropes first and then braid them together? The pods are both gorgeous and it's good you used up that wool you didn't like.

To answer your question, Ruth: I felted a thicker rope for the handle of the handbag separately and made a thinner but longer rope which I twisted around the first one. To strengthen the rope I felted in a 2 cm wide stripe of thin cotton fabric in the middle.

Ann - yes the seed beads were too ambitous. I finished the tree and posted it and some instructions under Wet Felting.
Now I have to bake cookies and forget about felting anymore today.

Yesterday and today I am working on a felt Christmas tree. I will tell more about it on Saturday on the blog.

I want to make a few more coaster type things for me to use around the kitchen, maybe today I will.
