I've been really patient a few times and spun up some fine enough to sew with. I used it to sew placemat edges, notebook covers and a while ago when a few of us tried that Take a Stitch thing, I used it for that. I'd love a wheel!

Wow, Zed - do you realise how amazing that sounds? Thin enough to sew with... Whenever you're in the market for a wheel, look for mine, the Woolmaker's Bliss. It's affordable, it's extremely reliable, and a workhorse of a wheel

Love the use of your yarn on felt, Judy. I also use “art yarn” to embellish felt, both wet-felting and needle-felting. I admire those of you who have the patience to spin!

Oh don't, Leonor, I'm so easily swayed! First I'll see what it looks like, then how much it costs and before I've even worked out where I'd put it, there's a knock on the door and a large package

Seriously, Zed, it's a really great wheel. If you were local to me I'd tell you to pop by and try it! If you want to feel like you have to work hard to 'earn' the wheel, try this: you'll have to assemble it because it arrives in pieces, very much like an IKEA piece! (Hi, I'm Leonor and I've been enabling people since the 80s.)

I'm as much an IKEA addict as a fibre addict! I'm sold! Well, maybe next year Judy, that's usually how it goes with me, but not quite yet this time!
