Thanks, Judy and Lyn!
I really love working with Finn Wool! I had heard it was a great felting fiber, but I had not expected it to be so soft and fluffy, more like merino.

The dress is absolutely wonderful and I'm sure will be really cute on a little girl. We'd love to see a tutorial. As Marilyn said, just let one of use know and we can post it on the website.
Cathy - Nice scarf!

Yes Judith, that is an issue - all mothers want to throw everything in the washing machine. Nada, yes I use silk underneath & it makes it reversible. I've been using a combination of sari silk & painted silk chiffon. I'll take pictures next time! I have a visitor coming to stay this week & almost hope for some rain for staying indoors to felt weather!

Gorgeous dress, Jill and lovely scarf, Cathy Is it a rippley scarf or are the accents tricking my eyes? I like Finn too, it looks like it'll be coarser than it feels.

I have a white wool hat with black accents - I must think of copying your scarf - it is lovely!

Thanks Ruth, Zed and Frances. It is not a ripply scarf, so maybe it’s the optical effect of wispy Finn wool over Domestic 56’s. It’s actually thin and flat.

I finally took the plunge and made the shawl feltandfiberstudio.proboards.com/thread/1887/cob-web-shawl - I spent the better part of two days with the layout and then the felting - had to keep resting my back - Every minute I spent was worth it. I love it. Am going to try and get to the post office and mail my card tomorrow. Then I want to make another card/Christmas Ornament for my Grandson who got married recently. He and his new wife live in a small apartment outside of Washington DC and do not need for want "things". So I thought an ornament for thier first Christmas would be special and a keepsake - I am going to felt a 2014 penny in it to mark the year and I am not sure what else I will do. For those of you experiencing the bitter cold - try and stay warm and safe!

Lately, I’ve been felting a few pods “just for fun.” This one is made from Navajo churro, Corriedale and a few locks. Small Pod by catwycliff, on Flickr
