I made a couple of small book covers and then added some stitching and a few beads, mainly more of a practise thing really, to try to get a better handle on stitch placement, I am glad i'm doing the TAST though otherwise all my stitches would have been either straight, running or blanket, with some french knots thrown in for good measure lol

They look great. I like the orange stitching on the pink. I have a really hard time with colour. When I am trying to pick colours I try to think of the colours of series. One of my favourites is deep purple and orange. You have to throw all the rules you were taught out the window. Like you can't wear brown and blue together.

A friend told me a rule she was told and a kid. Blue and green should never be seen except in the washing machine.

What about skies and trees going together??? I always say, if you see it in nature, you can use it as a color scheme.

Lovely book covers - the felt is pretty and very well enhanced with the stitching.
I agree. Colours that we are told should never go together often look good. But I think it's more to do with colour variations. For instance I put a green with a blue yesterday and it was awful, but then I changed the green for another shade and it looked great with the blue.
