Hi everyone! I've been so busy recently that I haven't had chance to update you with my progress on the needle (or wet) felting front, but here I am to do just that! Practice is helping - I'm becoming more precise and also developing a style which is very much my own. I've got such a lot to share that I thought that a PhotoBucket slideshow was the way to go and I'll add to this as I finish. s202.photobucket.com/user/paintergirl21/slideshow/Felt%20Work

They are all lovely Julie! I love vibrant colours, but strangely enough my favourite is the black and white cottage - there is something extra special about it.

Oh my - you've been very busy. I see what Lyn means about the black and white cottage and I also really like the sheep in the neutrals. Are they mainly needle felted? They are all very charming.

Julie, I can see why you've been absent. Beautiful work. I love them all. Your use of color is terrific. Thanks for taking the time to share!!

Wow, that is a lot of work. I have been out of the loop for a little while due to overwork and sickness. But, you sure have some impressive finished pieces.

Julie I also love your work, the red sunset with the light catching the roof of the house is gorgeous, where do you live? because the little cottage looking out to sea with the mountains in the background reminds me of Scotland, I love the energy in your work the green curly piece with colours radiating up into it - so pretty :-)

My security blocks Photobucket for some reason. Oh no, Zed! I was struggling to post these as each file is massive and making each one small enough to post and also only being able to post three per post was making life difficult. I thought that this was the answer. Sorry! I will be putting these on my website at some point (maybe today as I'm off ill from school). Thanks everyone for the lovely comments. I'm in Scotland Carole - you guessed right and heavily influenced by the west coast especially. I live near Dumfries. I've got a bit of wet felting to share too, when I get a chance

All of these are needle felted (although the lighthouse started off as a wet felt background which wasn't working). The neutrals were made using alpaca wool which I got very cheaply from Langholm Show, thanks to my eagle eyed cousin! I'm using mostly merino tops, but the alpaca is lovely and I've a selection of plant fibres and also some recycled plastic! I'm having fun!!

Love them all, but especially fisherman's cottage. The pastoral sheep scenes remind me so much of the Scottish countryside. Quite a nice body of work!

Lovely work. I of course like all of them with sheep in them. the little church in mostly shades of white one of my favourites. It would be nicer with some sheep.

Thanks everyone I sold another wee one today - which gives me confidence in what I'm doing. I went on one of Moy Mackay's courses recently and I'm working on a couple of wet felt paintings from that. I'll share those in the wet felt section though

Uau, beautiful "paintings". I like the sheep grazing grass best.
