I organized a fiber exchange this Spring. We just sent a small package (approx. 4 oz.) of fibers from our stash to the person below our name on the list and received a package from the person above us on the list. I encouraged people to include a postcard or something about them and where they live. Several people did include small felt pieces, too. It was great.

Count me in too, Ruth. I thibk pairing up people who want o exchange the same sort of item would be a good idea. You can pair up people who just want to be surprised too. Heide

It'd probably be easier for you to just partner us up, Ruth, then we can PM our partners and decide between us what we want to swap/receive. 4oz is a good limit for fibres, I think that or 100g is something we've used before.

Last year's arrangement worked well. I like heidet's idea of a surprise! Christmas is a good time for surprises.

OK - We had a total of 13 people who wanted to be included in the swap. I decided that since we're pairing up, I will sit out at the moment. If there are any issues or if someone wants to participate but didn't sign up here, then I can swap with that person.
The way it will work is that partners need to private message each other on the forum and discuss how they want to do the swap. Either you can leave it as a surprise or discuss what you have that you could swap that the other person might like. It should be a small item or limited amount of fiber. You'll need to exchange mailing addresses too.
Please send your item to your swap partner by November 30th. If you can't make this deadline, please let your partner know. If for some reason, you need to drop out of the swap at the last minute, post that here so that I can step in to swap with your partner. Once you have received your swap item, please post a photo of it here, as a reply to this thread.
And the partners are - drum roll please -

Hello Everyone - has everyone heard from their swap partner? Please make sure to contact each other right away so that each person has enough time for the swap. I would hate for someone to have to drop out because they haven't heard from their swap partner.
