Oooh - it looks good! I'm glad you got the brush with it - mine didn't come with one and to buy one separately is a stupid amount of money, so I use an old paintbrush but it's not quite the same!

It came on Wednesday, but I didn't get chance to try it until yesterday. I think I might need to watch some videos, I just ended up with the small drum clogged up and even after a few times through only got a wispy bit of fibre off it. Does it only work properly if you do 50g at a time or something?

Zed sounds like it need adjusting. you should only be bale to slip a piece of paper between the 2 drums. You usually feed small amounts. If you feed to heavily it will not work. Did it come with instructions on how to set it up?

It also depends on the length of the fibers. Really long fibers like Wensleydale don't work all that well.

It came all set up and with instructions how to adjust it. I think I just needed to practise a bit. It actually works better than I thought. When the wool comes off, it's more like short, wide roving than batts. I tried it yesterday with some old ends of wool topps that had become compressed and added in some leftover blends, these are the two sides before I put it through again to blend more:

I like the way they look Zed. They would be nice just felted flat. Blending is fun.

I think it will take a while to produce nice even batts that I could just felt with, but it's certainly a lot easier than trying to use those last old bits of wool. I think a mini one a couple of inches in diameter would be handy too
