OK you talented wet felters. Keep in mind my passion is for needle felting little animals, gnomes with big beards and witches with big hair. But, since I can't pass up a raw fleece with interesting texture I have way more than I can ever use to make little creatures. ... so I've been experimenting with wet felting. I used a layer of long blue faced Leicester locks dyed a medium brown with black walnuts, then a layer of cormo that I dyed dark brown with walnuts and hand carded, then a layer of really fine grey with blond tipped blue faced leicester locks. I dyed some of the tiny curly locks with walnuts and added them as "fringe". I used a hand sander, then rolled until it seemed sturdy enough. I'm not sure if it's a scarf, a wrap... or a sheep But it's supper warm and I love it.

I love the colour mix and it looks so warm, soft and cosy - what else could you wish for in a scarf??
