Judy, your piece is great, I like the balance of soft and hard and as Lyn says - the eye is drawn to every corner of the work. The barbed wire is an interesting addition - evoking a multitude of feelings. Zed, these are both great too. To me, the blue one says "zed"! I often recognise your work if I see something on images (likewise with Lyn). I love the colours and textures. In the other, although it's red, I see an underwater scene. I haven't produced anything at all for this challenge - I'm having fun revisiting my sewing fettish!

Thanks, Judy, Ann, Lyn and Judith I might add some fabric to the red one. Judith, I often see something I've felted and think it looks like a painting I previously did

Judy - great piece - I love the addition of the barbed wire.
Zed - yours do say "Zed". What were you thinking of adding to the red one?
I have one piece done and one other partially completed. I'll post later today hopefully.

Here is my challenge piece. I used wood from a broken plant holder, an old piece of rusty wire, free motion machine stitched Indian Paintbrush flowers on hand dyed fabric, Inktense pencils to color the flowers and then painted it all with Golden gel medium. You can read more about it on my blog.

Nice Work Ruth. the different textures go well together.
It looks like I will not get this challenge done. It's the last day and I haven't even started. I guess that's what happens when you leave it to the last min. I will try to start earlier on the next challenge.

I love your mixed media piece, Ruth. I do love how inktense pencil just adds that extra saturation of color. I am planning on doing more with colored pencil. The board and rusty wire were good choices.
