I just do it for display Judith. They look nice in a basket when they are for sale. It keeps them from getting messy when people handle them. I had never seen the baby baskets with them. It was really cute but they charge you a lot to do it. It's fast and easy to do. I suppose it's because they are selling to people that aren't spinners or felters.

Ann, This is what you call crocheting? That's what my braided bread looks like. Your wool looks pretty but it's making me hungry. Zed, I liked that you could get into felting fairly inexpensively. I also liked that you could make so many different items from the same supplies, similar to my metalworking. Only thing is my metalworking tools are a lot more expensive.

You just need to do a crotcheted chain. It just looks like a braid. try it with some roving and you will see. use your hand as the hook. reach through the loop and pule some roving through to make the next loop and keep going.
