What interesting stitches...:)I am not really big on sewing...but did a bit of applique before ordering my first felting kit 10 years ago...Sometimes after I finish a piece I feel like I want to post it to some embroiders to add some pizazz to it.

Thanks Eve - I enjoyed these stitches. I keep thinking I'll use them to make small needle books but haven't gotten that done on my big list of to do's. Embroidery is fairly simple to learn and looks great on felt. You should try a few simple straight stitches. That can add a lot but doesn't take much effort.

I have never seen bindings like that before and they are absolutely amazing! Goes so well with the wool felt, I think! But does look complicated.

Sorry, Ruth, no need to reply…I've been spending some time rolling through different threads in the forum and did not notice the earlier date on this one.

It's OK if you want to comment on old posts. It is a good way to get questions about certain things answered. These look kind of complicated but the basic ones are easy.

I could never do something like this, I think I have problems keeping even distance between the stitches. I admire you.

All it takes is practice. The tension and spacing is the hardest thing about hand stitching.
