Wow, Karen is getting to be a workaholic like me. Had to go to Urgent Care this morning. Seems like I have an issue with high blood pressure that I was not aware of. Have to see my regular physician tomorrow. But, I did manage to repair some broken earrings that I had bought at an antique mall. They are the old clip on type, but the screw on portion that holds them on your ears had to be replaced. I took a basic jewelry class years ago, and that has paid for itself over and over again.

A square pot, 21cms tall - decoration is slubby yarn - the red and yellow dyes in the yarn bled into the white in parts, but that's all part of the charm! Inside decoration is silk noil. Attachments:

Lyn - I really like the stripey effect of the yarn. What shape resist did you start with? Wish I could see more of the inside

This is the resist Ruth. I made a square shape during fulling using my hands, then blocked it over a square sweetie jar. The inside only has silk noil around the top for about two inches down. Attachments:

Thanks Lyn - that's the shape I would have imagined but I didn't want to assume!

Hey, I actually know what Slubby Yarn is. lol I really like the stripe on the design. You don't usually see that. Today was my inspiration day to go looking around the hobby stores for ideas. I also had to pick up a new grid pattern tablet. I use them for design planning.

I've done another yarn vase - it's drying - not sure if I like it or not - I used pale mint green instead of white and it's round-ish. If I like it tomorrow, I'll post a piccie.

The mint green is not as good a background colour as white. The dye bleed from the yarn is good on white but turned the mint off. Attachments:
