After watching what he can do at his age, I'm sitting here feeling like an old chewed up pudding.

Isn't it ironic that when kids act like that, they're pumped full of drugs to 'calm them down'?

You are right Zed. If kids are just running, playing, getting loud and having fun they better watch out. They will be on drugs and organised. God forbid there is anything unorganised and just for fun going on.

I've done some yoga stretches! Don't want to run before I can walk! :0)

Slow soft yoga sounds good. Its supposed to destress the mind too.

Ann, there was an article I read not so long ago, we might have talked about it on here, about how kids just love to be able to play out getting messy, running, playing with whatever they can find in the garden/house etc during the summer holidays. Organised fun like going to theme parks was about 27th down on the list.
I'd love to be able to do yoga, my wrists won't bend though. There is one sitting twist that I learned years ago and it cured my sciatica, any hint of back ache now and I do it again.

I know, and you would think their parents would know that because it was the same when we were kid. there is not a day camp anywhere that teaches you how to walk the top of a board on board fence. or how to make an elastic band shooter out of your hand. I taught this to a friend's kid this morning. He, he, he.

That was what all the replies said, Ann. One woman had dug a small hole in her lawn, added water and gave the kid a spade, they were happy for hours.

Well here's something that will make you giggle My son left his push bike here this morning and swapped it for his daughter lol i had a fun couple of hours with Charlie and then she went home with Dad. During the day my hubby had been smoking some pickled pork and made one for our son so i thought i'd walk it around and take his bike back. My daughter came with me which was just as well and a huge help (not) she ended up on the ground laughing her head off as i tried to ride the bike back ( its huge) and i'm not and as i stopped and tried to get off i lost my balance and ended up doing a face plant in his front yard, eating lots of freshly mowed lawn, lucky i just missed a concrete slab otherwise i dont think i'd have many teeth left lol Stephen doesnt say that playing is hard or nana's could get hurt it was funny though and we all had a good laugh at my expense
