Internet seems to be working now ;D The snowflake picture started as a wet felted piece, I used white merino and 2 shades of grey, and added some glitter to see how it would felt in (not very noticeable!). Once it had dried I needlefelted the snowflake (using a ruler and protractor for a bit of help ;D) and then gently wet felted over the design. Then I sewed on some clear seed beads. I REALLY enjoyed making this, it's a small and simple offering for the fibre art exchange but I was so pleased how it turned out and the odd amounts of time I was able to spend on it gave me much needed breaks. Now for my gift from Paula (Sulasmom) I opened my package to find this I love the fir cone, my OH was saying "what's that smell?", and it was the cone ;D I unwrapped a beautiful piece of felt to find this!! It is signed and has a message in it from Ruth. This is brilliant because I ordered a copy and ended up gifting it to a friend before I had a chance to read it, figuring I would have to buy myself another! The 2 little packages contained a fantastic felt bracelet for Taliah which she loves taking on and off. Paula also sent me a wallet and a letter telling me how she made it. Inside the wallet was a very cute little card And an added bonus...bubble wrap! (Excuse breakfact covered pyjamas!) Thank you so much Paula xx

Very nice Paula, and sending a bit of Montana along too. Sending a how too was a good idea as well. Sara my mom(Nana) says if they are dirty they are happy and Taliah does look happy. I am sure you will enjoy Ruth's book and find a food use for the fabric.

Although the temperature is lower on clear frosty days, somehow it seems easier to wrap up and stay warm that on these damp, dank and miserable days we're having just now. The dampness seems to seep into the bones!
