They are smashin' Lyn. I've only felted one pebble, which I did for a doorstop - the base of a jacob sheep - it was so long ago that I can't remember exactly how, but I do remember busting felting needles on it! I still use it even though the jacob has lost one of his horns.

The large pebbles make good doorstops as they are so heavy.

My daily dose: I am in Whitstable harbour at the moment in the little beach hut gallery I’ve posted about before. I sold the little mussel shell picture I showed in my latest forum blog post so today I’m finishing off a paper felt oyster shell (technique from Fiona Duthie’s paper + fibre class) which is painted with watercolours (one of the advantages of paper felt) which will take its place on the hut door. Photos in the wet felting board.
We’re having a period of warm sunny weather which means lots of visitors to the town and a nice place to sit out watching the boats come and go.

I've only made them one way - the same way that I made felted soaps so I'd be interested to read of another way Ann. Some of the pebbles were huge and heavy and hurt my hands a bit during the felting! Here's the first 3 I made back in October 2008. And some more I made for sale as paperweights/decorations. I can’t see your pebbles Lyn. Could you post the photos again?

Your beach hut gallery is idyllic (not jealous at all - much!) and there's no surprise that your lovely mussel shell picture sold. Yay! I hope the weather holds in Whitstable - makes all the difference to passing traffic doesn't it? I'll have another go at posting the photos underneath (old photos so quality not that good):

Trying to get something together for my post tomorrow. Guess you will have to suffer through another look at slow stitching progress!

Ruth and Ann - getting post content is not at all easy and we all appreciate how hard you work at it. I rather enjoy seeing continuing posts of works in progress.

The work-in-progress posts are very interesting for us newbie: they are actually step-by-step tutorials for us, and very inspirational. Especially when you describe how you got a problem and then tried ways to solve it. I also love when you explain how you got your ideas.
