The dots really change it. It doesn't look like a crazy avocado any more. I really like it.

www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/49695564www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/49695566I love jewellery so I decided to make something I’d actually wear for this challenge. I used plain silver hoops / rectangles that I already have and incorporated small pebbles / a piece of shell that I’ve picked up as I wander through life, in my usual magpie fashion. I found white ultra-fine white merino worked best on such small pieces as it gives a very smooth surface.

Very cool earrings Lindsay. perfect for when you are selling your wonderful creations. Are they heavy with the inclusions?

Very cool earrings Lindsay. perfect for when you are selling your wonderful creations. Are they heavy with the inclusions? Thank you very much, Ann. I wore the circular ones today and they were fine. The pebbles are very flat so not heavy and the earring posts are fairly thick. I haven’t tried the rectangular ones yet but they may be a bit more challenging! As usual, you learn from what you make. If I made more I’d think a bit more carefully about weight. And not cut out quite so much felt. I was using big clumpy scissors so something more refined might be in order!

These are really nice Lindsay. The presentation is also very good. What are the wood rings?

These are really nice Lindsay. The presentation is also very good. What are the wood rings? Thank you, Ann. I bought some brooch blanks on the internet - they’re labelled something like wooden cabochon brooches: they are small wooden discs with an outer rim and the clasp already attached to the back. I’d like some bigger ones (these are 30mm) but they’re not so easy to find. I can dig out the link if you want it. Re presentation, I recently had some new inexpensive business cards printed (one side only) deliberately to use as labels and I’m pleased they work well with the brooches. I have another design that mentions how to wash felt that I use for things like coasters. I write product details on the back then add a sticky label with the price.

Interesting, I have never seen wooden ones. I don't think I need ny. I would buy them and they would sit on the good idea shelf.

Lindsay - they are fab! Very modern and so unique. Pretty presentation too. What a great idea to get wooden blanks with the pin already attached - saves a lot of fiddly frustration.

Very nice - love the colors of the Pendant.
Earrings are so creative - how did you attach the wool to the earring.
