Really cool beading. Those patterns are really different than what I have seen before. Do have a special set up for taking beads with you?

Lovely beading, but you must need to fully concentrate graduating from the large beads to the delicas! I particularly like the bracelet.

Really cool beading. Those patterns are really different than what I have seen before. Do have a special set up for taking beads with you? Thanks everyone. It’s very portable as it’s just a reel of fireline thread, needles, scissors and a little cloth mat that stops the beads rolling around as you use them. For the bracelet & necklaces the shaping is based on something called a flat Cellini spiral. Fairly straightforward peyote stitch using different size beads. The bigger beads get pushed up as you stitch them. I was on holiday in Maine & Massachusetts and bought some of the beads there. You can get good beads online in the UK but there are better bricks and mortar bead shops in the US (the best beads are Japanese). It’s good to see them in person so you can try colours against each other. A couple of photos of finished necklaces. The green one is mine. The other was a commission for a friend of a friend. I don’t normally sell them as they take a lot of hours but the friend’s friend was very keen and was willing to pay for the time. www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/48983088www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/48983090

Getting started can be fiddly but once you’re into the swing it’s fairly straightforward. I made a bookmark with a peacock feather pattern once that required a lot of concentration to follow the pattern. These are reasonably obvious because of the repetition.

Wow! I have never seen this type of beading. It's really interesting and structural. I love the work you did. Simply amazing!
