Today I had to kick myself. I’ve had lots of exhibitions running into each other but over the past few days had managed to squeeze in making an extra picture for an exhibition I’m hanging tomorrow. I dried it overnight on a heated clothes dryer and was just getting it ready to frame today when I noticed a yellow patch and realised I hadn’t actually fully rinsed it. Doh! There was a split second when I wondered if it might be ok, but with a heavy heart I plunged it into the sink. So now it’s drying overnight again and I’m going to have to get up nice and early to try to finish & frame it before heading off to hang it. Ooh that’s annoying. You won't regret rinsing it. You wouldn't have been happy leaving it. At least the mornings are light now so it's easier to get out of bed and the dawn chorus will cheer you up!

Oh dear Ruth and Marilyn. I don't suppose you want to hear about my cuppa in the garden this afternoon then? Got too hot so had to move to the shade.

We are having flooding on one of the main rivers here. we are not close to it but one friend now has several inches of water in his house. The water is supposed to peak tomorrow but now they have for cast ice pellets freezing rain followed by rain for tomorrow.
I hate when I think I have rinsed something properly and then find I haven't. As Lyn said you wouldn't have been happy if you had left it.

When you hear of sad stories like that Ann, it makes you humbly grateful for your own safe house.

It Does Lyn. It can be heartwarming too. With help from his friends, he got most of his stuff out of the house ahead of time including all his appliances. Thousands have volunteered to fill sandbags and build sandbag walls. It is good to see people pull together and help each other.
