www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sedi1CuX_VI&t=500sI created this tutorial to show how I have been wet felting directly on grocery store purchased bottles and jars. I've been having so much fun with these little projects.

You're a star! It takes talent to keep talking and felting as well as that for half an hour. Lovely clear video - well done!

An enjoyable informative video Eileen.
A suggestion for helping with your panty hose....get a large cylinder of sorts (a metal can with both top & bottom cut out, even if only half the height of your bottles still works, or a cut length of large diameter pipe) that will fit over your dry wool covered bottle. Stretch your panty hose over the cylinder scrunching up as necessary. Carefully place the cylinder over your bottle. Holding the toe of the panty hose and your bottle together, gently ease the hose off the cylinder and onto your bottle as you pull the cylinder out. Tadaa - the wool stays in place.
I hope that makes sense....sadly you can't see me miming the action here!

Eileen - for the can try using a can opener. I've been successsful cutting both ends off with one. If you are concerned about any sharp edges (after tapping out any kinks with a small hammer) two solutions - A. Run a smooth line of water proof glue around or B. Wrap and fold over a waterproof tape over the edges. Better still find a piece of large diameter pipe (a handy man might cut a piece off for you) and sand these edges smooth.
