It's March! I have been working on cleaning out my studio room because we're having company again. So now my studio has a bed in it and I have no place to spread my work all over the place. Sigh... I told hubby we were just going to have to stop having company

I saw a cool gadget where you have piece of plywood the size of the bed that lowers down form the ceiling and when you need the bed you just hoist it back to near the ceiling.

You need one of these in your studio Ruth (available in double size too). You don't even have to clear your makings off the surface! desk bed

There is some amazing small space furniture out there.

They are coming up with some great ideas for furniture. Considering how much stuff I store under my table, the bed would be pretty high off the ground.

Sounds like we could all do with sky hooks and hoists etc - just to put our work temporarily out of the way. Nothing worse than tidying up for company, the chaos all beautifully neat and tidy, then finding you can remember where that certain something was but not where it is now! I've spent countless hours looking for things even when I’ve 'mindfully' put them away.

Amen Antje! I’m recovering from visitors in July and December, little tikes so anything sharp or heavy or droppable had to be put away and gates up. No fun, but I enjoyed their visits. I’m not sure I’ll ever recover everything especially since I have too much STUFF!

My daily dose for Yesterday was starting a new hat. I remembered to take a few pictures too. I planed to get back to it today but didn't manage it, maybe tomorrow. I think I need one of those purses like Mary Poppins or one of those black holes from Bugs Bunny.

Hope you get back to working on your hat soon Ann. Thank you for bringing back a long forgotten memory. My nick name at work was Mary. I always seemed to have everything in my bag/briefcase screwdriver included. Maybe my girl guide training or a very practical father training.
Off to foreign shores (Cologne - Germany) today with a girl friend staying with my widowed cousin. We 3 girls always exercise our throats and tummies....we never stop laughing! Hopefully the craft stores etc are ready for us. I have a suitcase inside a suitcase (having paid for 1 hold baggage).....just in case! And with chaotic Brexit on us a gal needs to stock up on her favourite supplies!
Between bouts of tummy cradling I hope to have a few daily doses creating some buttons....my textile group's challenge.

I’m not sure I’ll ever recover everything especially since I have too much STUFF! Too much stuff? When I was in my daughter's craft room recently, she acknowledged that the room was crowded with too much stuff so she asked me to look around and say if I thought there was anything that could go. I had a good look - took a while - then I decided that there was nothing that could be disposed of. How many times have you used a piece of something that you've held on to for ten years and been glad that you hadn't chucked it out? I rest my case.

Too much stuff? Oh I know that feeling. Last time I tidied my studio I was determined I would get rid of some stuff - I have a lot of yarn and really only use small amounts so thought I could snip some bits off then get rid of the bigger bits. But when I came down to it I really liked the yarn so I just bought some more storage boxes, crammed things in more neatly & packed it all in!

You don't have too much stuff, your studio just isn't big enough. Just annex another part of the house
