Dear All, I'm one of the organisers of Spring Into Wool - a fabulous wool festival on 13th and 14th April at The Grammar School at Leeds (UK). The festival is for all lovers of wool, covering felting, knitting, crochet, spinning and dyeing. This year we'll have a market place with 90 woolly exhibitors, food court and workshops. The exciting news for this year's event is that Galina Blazejewska will be coming all the way from Poland to run a wet felting workshop on the Saturday of Spring Into Wool. You can see her beautiful work here www.instagram.com/galafelt/ We're delighted to have her at our wool festival and we hope to see you there! For more information about the show please go to springintowool.co.uk/

Looks great Nicola, I wish I lived closer. Me too. I know I don't have to cross an ocean, but it would still be a 500 mile round trip for me. In America that might not be too bad but try doing 500 miles in the UK! We recently had a visitor from Alaska who couldn't quite believe how long it took to drive 17 miles.

We have areas here like that, too. The only place in the US you might be able to make time is in the desert. My daughter-in-law in California travels 24 miles to work and it takes two hours each way. Crazy! When we go to the University of Chicago for appointments it is 60 miles and usually takes us two hours traveling thru the city. I certainly wouldn’t drive 500 miles thats what planes and trains are for. :-)

I would rather drive 6 hours across Ontario then 2 hours in city traffic. Lyn my mom tells me about that. How it takes forever to get anywhere in the UK. I thought the M series moterways were supposed to fix that.

Yes, the drive is pretty uneventful until you get to Seattle traffic.

Motorways are good ... unless there's roadworks (frequent) or accidents (often) or it's rush-hour (misnomer) when, for example, the M25 round London is the largest car park in Europe!

I visited this show last year - it was ok. Praised with faint damns - as Terry Wogan used to say!
