Happy December to everyone! I hope you aren't into the holiday crazies quite yet and you have a moment to tell us what's going on in your fiber world. I am still patiently stitching on my yarn tree. And finishing up homework for my art and design class. And it's snowing here

It's just got dark and we still have 13C (55F). Snow is pretty on Christmas cards but I'd rather not see it for real thanks - it causes too much disruption here because we're not geared up for it.
I've spent equal measures of enjoyable time playing with fibres and frustrating time trying to get photos in poor light.

I have been a little full on with craft fairs, all my choice of course, heading to the last one next Saturday until they start again next March. Looking forward to the break, but I will also miss them I know! I will enjoy restocking when I feel like it, not because I need to.
I also have workshops fully booked for Jan x2, Feb and March, lucky me.
Hope everyone is enjoying creating.

I’ve just spent 4 hours making needle felted Brussels sprouts! I’m making things (in this case tree decorations) for the shop but much as I like the results I really do not enjoy long periods of needle felting. Give me wet felting any time!

There seems to be a real appetite for learning felting which is wonderful.

Wow, needle felted brussel sprouts! I too don't enjoy needle felting for long periods of time. Always bothers my shoulder.

Christmas vegetables and fruits - ceramic, paper, fabric - are very popular as tree decs this year!

Wow, needle felted brussel sprouts! I too don't enjoy needle felting for long periods of time. Always bothers my shoulder. Look slightly better in daylight but here they are. Can’t stand the cooked ones but the wooly ones are quite cute. www.ipernity.com/doc/2373440/47784456

They're adorable, Lindsay! I don't like boiled brussel sprouts but roasted with bacon are good.

I'm hungry now, Ruth! I recently tried a recipe for Brussels Sprouts broiled with a little Hoisin sauce. Very yummy. It's good with sweet potatoes/yams also. Time to eat lunch now. Yippee!

We set up our spaces on Monday at the Christmas Emporium. Not a great photo but here’s my space. One of the plants pots, some pebble key rings and several hanging decorations have already been bought so fingers crossed for a busy weekend.
