How funny and clearly true. I was at the harbour gallery over the weekend and didn’t sell a lot but I did sell the only felt thing that wasn’t offered for sale - which was the Remembrance Day poppy I was wearing! Perhaps this is the way to go - fill the gallery with things that aren’t for sale.
Fortunately I also signed up two new participants for my next felting for beginners workshop, which is great. I now have only 2 spaces left out of 8 which is good going considering it’s over 3 months away. I think I’d better put in a few more dates for 2019.

Yes, use reverse psychology, not for sale!
Glad your class is filling up quickly.

We are definitely on to something with this ‘not for sale’ theme. I made these decorations (wet felted) then decided to bead them. The beading took such a long time (especially the pink one) that I decided I couldn’t price them to reflect the time I’d put in and anyway they look nice as a group so I thought I’d give them to my mother for Christmas. Posted a picture on Facebook & Instagram & 2 people have asked about buying them. I’m thinking of setting up a ‘not for sale’ Etsy shop!

They are beautiful. Price them high. You definitely have to do it as something you enjoy. I fixed the double picture for you.

I was going to take care of your extra posts but I see you figured it out Your ornaments are beautiful. I love the idea of a "not for sale" ETSY shop. Nothing to buy here...

Yes, I’m getting into marketing mode. I’m thinking of calling it “you can’t have this”. Better not make me in charge of posting the pictures though.

My daily does yesterday was laying out some slippers as examples for my class Dec 1. todays daily dose was labelling and delivering things to a friend for their store in December. So naturally a couple of hours later the museum store called and wanted soap and dryer balls. So that will be my weekend dose. Oh well, it will keep me out of trouble.

Everything happens at once and no, you can't buy that.

My daily dose yesterday was in a sunny but chilly harbour. Sold small things including some of the upcycled button trees we talked about previously. Booked the remaining three places on my next ‘wet felting for beginners’ workshop which surprised me. There’s obviously plenty of appetite for learning felting. I’ve booked the room for 2 more days next year but think I’ll have to put in a couple more. Today I’m back in the harbour for another sunny day but think I’ll wear a few more layers than yesterday and remember to take my gloves!
