Thank you, Lyn. To cap off a very good week, just as I was packing away a local shop owner came in & asked if she could sell my cards (photos of the felt bird pictures) in her shop. She’ll buy 50 outright to start and see how it goes. “Oh well, if you insist”, I said reluctantly (not).

Thanks Lyn. Yes, things are going really well. This is peak selling season for me. I was only able to book the same gallery for February next year, it’s very popular, so it will be interesting to compare.

Great news!
When my husband cleaned out the bird nest boxes for the year, he said that some of my wool tops were in the nests! That is great but I have no idea how they got hold of it!

How lovely, Tracey. In amounts you might throw away or have they been breaking in & stealing beak fulls?

I vaguely remember someone here making a net bag of scraps of wool fibres to hang up at nesting time - was it you Tracey?

How lovely, Tracey. In amounts you might throw away or have they been breaking in & stealing beak fulls? It is sweet isn't it. We look after our birds, and have seven nest boxes. I am in the dark how they got it, maybe I should buy a finer micron next year for them.......
If they did break in and steal Lindsay, that would be a Robin.....

Yes it was me Lyn, I snaffled a huge chunk of fleece that was stuck on a fence, and secured it in garden netting and hung it from a tree. It got, and still gets lots of attention at nesting time.

I know I haven't posted much of my recent work. I have not been very prolific, but have been noodling around on a few things. I was prototyping a little 3D owl with some fiber a friend gave me from her organic ewes. I had no idea where it was going. I felted the body (sorry, no in-progress pics) sewed some button eyes and did a little embroidery. Well, the little owl came alive. She asked for legs so she could dance. Then she wanted to go to a party, so I had to give her a little bling. Here she is, ready to party. I call her "Bonnie the Burrowing Owl Ready to Party"
