Hi guys! I am fairly new to needle felting but I just love the concept of using wool to create art. I've played around with 3d felting but I think I am going to give the 2d felting a try after seeing some wonderful creations surfing the web. For the last few years I have been using polymer clay as my preferred medium until I discovered needle felting and I also enjoy embroidery which I hope to incorporate into my 2d felted paintings. As I have a problem with agoraphobia I don't get the chance to spend time with other creative people so I rely on the internet to fill my social needs. When I came across this site I realised it was perfect for me to be able to share my adventure with needle felting with other like minded people. I look forward to getting to know you all. Cheers Carol

Hi and welcome to our felting world. It really is a lot of fun. Post pictures ask question even on old posts we love to talk about felt and fiber. I am learning embroidery at the moment so I can use it on my felt.

Hello & welcome Carol. I’m sorry to hear about the agoraphobia - that must be really tough. As you say, the internet is a wonderful thing. As a fairly recent joiner to the forum I can confirm it’s a great place for meeting like-minded people. I find those who comment are very generous with their time and expertise and clearly have a real love of felt and fibre and enjoy the back-and-forth of sharing, chatting and problem solving. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The shadow of the egret was inspiring. I really want to give the 2d felting a try but I'm not really sure where to start or maybe that is another name for procrastination. I have to order in some prefelt anyway so that will be my excuse for now. Keep up the good work!
